Big Picture

Each and every propreitory methodology used in Delivery Service functions contributes in providing the highest possible security and reduction in pickup and delivery times for every package by achieving the set of goals as following:

  1. Reduce wait time at pick up stations to 0 seconds

  2. Reduce pick up time to 30 seconds or less

  3. Reduce delivery time to 30 seconds or less

  4. Protect every package from porch pirates

  5. Increase revenue for delivery service providers

  6. Never let delivery persons leave any package unsecured at recipient's door steps

Even though there are many factors contribute for the delay in picking up and delivering goods, the most delay occurs due to merchant verification of delivery pick up persons.

Even though many factors that contribute for the delay in picking up the goods are beyond the control of the delivery service providers, the delivery service providers can still provide state of the art information to the merchants that can expediate the pick up process.

For example, delivery service providers can request the merchants to implement Sprint-Thru technology instead of Drive-thru technology and/or to implement skip the counter technology and/or to implement curbside pickup technology. All these state of the art technologies reduce the cost for the merchants without developing apps or texting or emailing.

The delay also occurs because orders are not being ready at the requested pickup time.

The delay also occurs because delivery persons do not know the status of orders prior to arriving at the pick up location.

The delay also occurs because delivery persons are required to hide the packages at recipient's door steps and take a picture.

The delay also occurs because delivery persons are required to wait and meet the recipient to receive a confirmation number.

Above all, delivery persons are required to ring the recipient's door bell.

Even though many factors that contribute for the delay in delivering the goods are beyond the control of the delivery service providers, the delivery service providers can still provide state of the art information information to the recipients that can expediate the delivery process.

For example, delivery service providers can request the recipients to implement secured delivery outside the door or secured delivery inside the door technology instead of unsecured drop at the door technology. All these state of the art technologies secure the deliveries and reduce the cost for the recipients without using apps or texting or emailing.

To achieve the stated goals mentioned above, the problems related to package pickup and delivery were analyzed and proprietary methodologies are incorporated in delivery service functions to alleviate those problems.

Following are some of the proprietary methodologies used in Sprint-Thru delivery service:

Time saving methodologies at the pick up location:

  • Delivery persons can find the status of orders even before reaching the pickup location.

  • Immediately upon arriving at the pickup location, delivery persons can find the locker number, if the order has been placed in a locker.
This would enable the delivery persons to pick up the orders in less than 30 seconds.

  • Immediately upon arrival at the pickup location, delivery persons can sign-in to pick up the order, if the order has not been placed in a locker.
This would enable the delivery persons to sign-in to pick up the order in less than 30 seconds.

  • Immediately upon the merchant placing the order in a locker, delivery persons can find the locker number from a display monitor.
This would enable the delivery persons to pick up the order from the locker in less than 30 seconds from the time the order was placed inside the locker.

  • For faster and secured service, delivery persons and delivery order handlers will never meet face to face.

Time saving methodologies at delivery location:

  • Lockers that are set in 'Auto-Pilot' mode by locker owners would automatically receive last few digits of order number as one time code when the delivery persons pickup the orders at the order pickup location.

  • Immediately upon arriving at the delivery location, delivery persons can enter the the unique delivery code or last few digits from the order number to unlock the locker, leave the package and leave.
This would enable the delivery persons to deliver the package in less than 30 seconds.

  • No need for the delivery persons to find a hiding place and take a picture of the delivery.

  • The recorded delivery of the package inside the locker will be the evidence that the package has been delivered.

  • For deliveries that require signature, the locker would sign.

  • Lockers can deliver the goods in-door without the delivery persons opening secured door or entering in-door.

  • For faster and secured service, delivery persons and recipients will never meet face to face.

  • For providing better service, delivery persons can receive tips electronically.
